Michael started CrossFit in 2012 after moving to Dallas, looking for an alternative to the commercial gyms all over his neighborhood. He was hooked after the first class, enjoying the challenge and bonding with the community. Michael got certified and started coaching in 2014 in order to share that joy with others. He eventually quit his job as an Engineer to become a Physical Therapist, so that he could continue to work with people to achieve physical goals and enable the injured to resume the activities they love doing. Michael’s philosophy is that fitness for the general population is more about longevity and health than chasing numerical gains and competing at exercise, and that CrossFit is a powerful modality to achieve those ideals.
